What a Wild month October has been for this Libran

If you're friends on Facebook you would have seen how nuts and compete psychotic fun that I have had, which, if I am really honest has cancelled out the usual feeling of getting a year older.

  • Woking Crematorium
  • About to head out for Oktoberfest
  • The Photo Unibomber
  • Birthday cuddles with Jasper xXx
  • A Bikers Birthday Cake :-) xx
  • Another pre-birthday drink pic
  • About to head out for Birthday drinks
  • Waiting for a bus... and it was on time thankfully

On my birthday this year I decided I would go to Woking Crematorium and have a chat with my mum. I don't do this as often as I would like, I do miss her every day and I do talk to here most days when I'm home. I did this on the way back from seeing how my employee was getting on with testing a main heat exchanger on a boiler, in London.

The following day I had a lovely rideout with the guys from our group, we didn't do our usual ride, and we ended up at Loomies Cafe. Well I had an amazing surprise, the guys bought me a slice of this most gorgeous pink sponge cake, I had no idea they was getting any cake at all as it isn't something we do. They even made a messed up candle. I loved it to bits, if it wasn't for the fact we was surrounded by loads of bikers, I would have given them all a hug. It really made my week and it totally blew me away. Thank you guys, you know who you are xXx.

The New Inn in Basingstoke has become my new home, it's a very lovely, safe and fun place for the LGBT community regardless of what night you pop in. The staff are absolutely amazing, and the locals, well put it this way they are just as nuts and fun as we are. Last Thursday I was at the pub as they had a pub quiz. I know right, me at a pub quiz lol. Who would have thought it, this time last year, and like many years before, I have struggled to get out and do normal stuff, walking Jasper and Food Shopping does class as normal stuff, but it isn't normal - fun stuff, ok it can be, but with the hours I work and times I'm home very late never give me the time to do something out of the ordinary, although it may become very ordinary, to which I highly doubt. I blame a very dear friend for that, I actually lover her for it, she has taken this girl from a boring, old and somewhat mundane life and given me a new out look on everything. (I have said this before and I'll say it again, I will never name people on my blog, unless of course I have an axe to grind :p ). So if your reading this sweetie, massive hugs and kisses xXx. So that was Thursday night's exciting fun, did we win??? No we came 2nd, but we was playing against 2 other teams, but the winning team did have 4 people in it and our team was just the two of us, however our team was the most fabulous out of all of them.

Friday came and was so mental, it started of waiting for a bus, yes again, I got on another bus, tbh I would rather do that, than walk 2 miles into town. I met a few really lovely ladies that night and had a lot of fun, the pool table was calling my name, yet again and for the most part I did do well. We ended up in town after the pub shut, and danced the night away. Many Mojitos were had. Maybe the less said about the dance floor the better ;-) although that was tame compared to Saturday. I finally got to bed by 6am and only got a few hours sleep as I was awake by 11:30am.

Saturday, O.M.G!!! So my son came home for Oktoberfest, he got back mid afternoon luckily, just as I finished the housework and he then dived into town to meet up with his friends. I started in The New Inn at 6pm, after 3 or 4 drinks, tbh I can't remember, and then we went to Oktoberfest. I have never done a beer festival in my life. That was a new experience, we found the Gin bar and had a Bathtub Gin and a Pink Flamingo ( I think ;-) ) gin. We wondered about the different stalls whilst drinking from both glasses and ended up going into the main tent dancing and listening to a punk band. That was awesome, once the gin was gone, it was time for more, however as we didn't want to wait for 30 mins for more gin, we started on the real ale. Two Cocks Brewery took our fancy, I honestly have no idea why, no I mean it... seriously stop laughing. I bumped into a local rival plumber, I actually thought out of the lot, he would be the worst with accepting me, if I am honest, he has been the best out of the local trades. I was on a mission to bump into my son, but I never did spot him (never mind there is always next year lol), More beer was had and we danced and sang along to a guitarist who had the audience participating, which we streamed live on facebook, I wish we hadn't and there is no way I'm watching them through fear of diving from embarrassment ;-) We visited another marquee, which had a rapper in there rapping about Basingstoke the "01256". That was a bit odd lol but I know someone who would think its abut the 'Basingstoke Massive'. We hit the main tent again, this time we entered via through the back way and found another bar :p After a wonder around we decided to go outside for some air as it was so hot, it was then that I spotted the gin bar was a bit quiet and needed our much loved attention, 2 more gins and another pint of ale each, and then would you believe it, we got kicked out of Oktoberfest, it was closing time though and although we had been drinking loads, the two of us, had more partying todo. Tonic became the next bar for a drink and a dance, followed by, the Tee Bar ( I think?? well its the one opposite Tonic ;-) ) we started there dancing and drinking some more before we left and went for Fever, but as we was a little bit past 2am they wouldn't let us in, so, yet again we ended up in Plush. More drinks and dancing was had, omg we had so much fun, I am not letting on what happened, lets just put it this way, "tart" doesn't even come close :p  The night ended with bumping into a few friends in there and a taxi home was called for once the house lights came up - yes I know kicked out again. I think I got back home around 5:30am, then yep you guessed it up around 10:30-11am for a fry-up with my son before he had to go home ;-(

All in all, for a birthday week, it has been one of the most fabulous ones I have had in a long while. The mad thing is, I have 2 Halloween fancy dress parties to go to this October as well.
