I think I mentioned in another blog that I told a few of the Bikers that I ride with, about me face to face. everyone has been amazing, however not many had actually seen the real me.
That all changed at the end of September.
One of the bikers had his 40th, and I was asked if I could gather a few of our group for a surprise birthday drinks. Well a lot of the feed back was why not go for a meal, which we decided to do.
So this was the first time eight of the group including partners was to meet me, although I was really excited I was nervous as hell, I usually go a bit shy, and I do take a while for myself to become comfortable with being me around someone new. That and I was more worried that, in a public place, something might happen and that would spoil the evening, not from the bikers but other patrons of the pub we had our meal at. The evening wasn't about me, and I wanted to make sure that it went well and was enjoyed by all, again the evening wasn't about me, but I felt very safe and I was so relaxed, so much so, that my heart rate, that's tracked through my iWatch said it peaked at 56bpm lol.
I have to admit that I felt a little over dressed, I mean I was the only one wearing heels lol, however I hoped that I made a good impression.
So all in all I was very happy to make someones 40th go well, and that everyone enjoyed the evening, even though it was my first real Non-Trans event I have ever been too. Shopping, walking the dog and going to a friends for dinner doesn't count :p
The photo's attached are before we went out for the meal.
